Hackney's Story of Place
In common with other local authorities, Hackney refreshed its Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) in 2008.
Hackney's Story of Place (see below) is a distinctive vision of Hackney which places tackling worklessness, raising educational achievement, and imrpoving economic performance at the heart of making Hackney a better place to live, work and visit as we move closer to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Local Area Agreement (LAA) is a major driver for improving equality in Hackney and is reviewed and refreshed on a rolling basis.
The partnership has refreshed its first equality impact assessment of the LAAt to match the refresh of the LAA.
