![]() Photo of Royal Oak ( Hackney Homes). | The Better Home Partnership brings together a wide range of partners, including housing providers, community and voluntary representatives to identify, support and steer the delivery of Hackney’s long-term strategic objectives, as set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy. The Better Homes Partnership Board is co-chaired by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Karen Alcock, Hackney’s lead member for housing, and Charlotte Graves, Chief Executive of Hackney Homes. The Board has a housing management and a housing investment sub-group, with each focused on strategic issues affecting Hackney’s people and places, such as anti-social behaviour and overcrowding, investment challenges and opportunities, and the design and sustainability of new homes. |
The Board itself recognises and supports the key role of housing providers in addressing the wider aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy, such as supporting residents into sustainable employment, promoting health and well-being, addressing environmental challenges, and empowering and involving residents.
