Team Hackney Board

The Team Hackney Board has overall responsibility for strategy and performance and is chaired by the mayor of Hackney, Jules Pipe.  It consists of senior representatives from Hackney Council, the Police, the main health, housing, regeneration and education bodies in Hackney, the community and voluntary sector, and business.

The following board members provide a link to the five themed partnerships:

  • Children and Young People – Alan Wood, Chief Executive of The Learning Trust and Director of Children’s Services
  • Safer Cleaner – Steve Dann, Borough Commander, Hackney Police
  • Economic Development – Ian Ashman, Principal, Hackney Community College
  • Thriving Healthy – Jacqui Harvey, Chief Executive of the City and Hackney Primary Care Trust
  • Better Homes – TBC

Their role is to co-chair or work closely with the chair of the relevant thematic partnership, to act as the primary route of communication between the board and the thematic partnership, and to take a lead on performance, intelligence and equalities (PIE) for their respective thematic partnership and for negotiating the joint ownership of priorities.
